It’s taken me a while to figure out, but I think I’ve finally come to realize what love is really about. It isn’t about the hands you hold, arguments you share, or tears you’ve cried. It isn’t even about the breaths you take or the moments that take your breath away. It’s about caring for someone more than you could ever care about yourself. It’s about not only accepting someone for everything they are, faults and all, but learning to enjoy and embrace every aspect of who they are. Most importantly though, it’s about knowing that even though they wouldn’t want to change who you are one bit, you still want to be a better person for them and work to be the kind of person that they deserve.
